Real Work. Real Restaurants.

Pretty pictures don't bring in customers. Strategy does. Here's how the thinking works, not just what the final product looks like.
Palateria del Angel
Mexican ice cream shop · Sparks, Nevada · Full website build from zero web presence
Visit Live SiteA unique, beloved business that nobody could find online.
Palateria is a Mexican ice cream shop in Sparks that sells paletas, esquites, and traditional treats that most people in northern Nevada had never encountered. The food is exceptional. The shop has loyal regulars. But online? It was invisible. No website. Minimal social presence. No way for someone to find them when searching for dessert in Sparks. People were literally walking past and not knowing what was inside because there was nothing to discover beforehand.
Capturing personality, not just information.
Building a website for a restaurant that serves familiar food is one thing — you show the food, the hours, the location. Palateria required something harder: making someone who has never heard of a paleta feel intrigued and excited enough to visit. The site needed to do real storytelling work, not just display facts. It also needed to work on a phone screen because the kind of person who discovers a new dessert spot is searching from their phone, often while already out and deciding where to go.
The design brief was warmth, color, and a sense of discovery — without feeling chaotic or overwhelming. The personality of the shop needed to come through without the owner having to write a word of copy.
A fast, colorful, and genuinely inviting mobile experience.
The site was built mobile-first, because that's how Palateria's customers find them. Load time was kept under two seconds — a hungry customer won't wait. The design leaned into warm, vibrant colors that feel true to the brand without being garish. The menu section was designed to be readable and appetizing even to someone who's never ordered a paleta before.
SEO was set up from day one with proper structured data, Google Business Profile optimization, and local keyword targeting for searches like "Mexican dessert Sparks NV" and "paletas near me Reno." The contact section makes it trivially easy to get directions or call — the two actions a customer ready to visit actually needs.
Every page is served over HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate. The contact form is spam-protected. The site is owned entirely by Palateria — no monthly platform fees, no lock-in.
A professional online presence that matches the quality of the shop itself.
Palateria went from no web presence to a fully indexed, mobile-optimized, professionally designed website that represents the shop as well as the shop itself does in person. They now appear in local search results. Customers can find the address, hours, and menu before they arrive — which means fewer friction points between "hungry" and "spending money at Palateria."
The owner needed to provide one thing: about an hour of conversation about what makes Palateria special. Everything else — design, copy, SEO, launch, configuration — was handled end to end.
Shanghai Restaurant
Chinese restaurant · Reno, Nevada · Full website rebuild — currently in development
Taking a beloved Reno staple from an outdated online presence to a modern, high-converting site.
Shanghai Restaurant has been serving Reno for years. The food has loyal fans. But the website hasn't kept pace — it's outdated, not mobile-friendly, and not optimized for how people search for Chinese food in Reno in 2025. This project is a full rebuild: new design, mobile-first architecture, local SEO setup, and a menu display that makes the food look as good as it tastes.
The focus is on capturing the warmth and character of a neighborhood institution and communicating it clearly to someone discovering Shanghai for the first time through a Google search. Full case study coming soon after launch.
