No vague promises. No sales spin. If you're a restaurant owner considering a website, here's exactly what working with me looks like.

Most projects go live within 2 weeks. Here's how that breaks down: the first few days are spent on the kickoff call and gathering your information. I then build the site and send you a review link. You give feedback, we make adjustments, and then we launch. The biggest variable is how quickly you can review and respond — restaurants that come prepared tend to launch faster. If you need it faster for a specific reason (a grand opening, a promotion), tell me upfront and we'll work backwards from your deadline.
Yes — you own it completely. The code, the design, the domain, all of it. There are no monthly fees to me unless you choose to add an ongoing maintenance plan (which is optional, not required). You will need to pay for hosting and your domain name — those are direct costs you pay to the hosting provider, not to me. I'll help you set them up and make sure you understand what you're paying for and why. I don't mark them up or take a cut.
Minor changes are included for 30 days after launch. This covers things like updating hours, fixing a typo, swapping a photo, or adding a new menu item. After 30 days, changes are billed at an hourly rate or covered under a monthly maintenance plan. If you know you'll need frequent updates — seasonal menus, rotating specials — the maintenance plan is worth it. I'll give you an honest recommendation based on your situation.
No. Not even a little. That's the whole point of working with me instead of a DIY website builder. I handle every technical detail from start to finish — domain, hosting, design, build, SEO setup, SSL certificate, Google Business Profile, and launch. You don't need to understand any of it. What you do need to bring is your menu (or photos of it), any photos of your restaurant if you have them, and about an hour of your time for a kickoff conversation. I do the rest.
Three things: your menu (printed, photographed, or PDF — doesn't matter), photos of your restaurant and food if you have them (smartphone photos are fine), and about an hour for a kickoff call where I ask questions and you tell me what makes your restaurant special. That's it. I write the copy, handle the design, configure everything technical, and present the finished site for your review. If you don't have photos, I can work with stock food photography that matches your cuisine until you get your own — that's a common starting point.
That's a fair question and I respect it. Here's the honest answer: if you have time to learn a website builder, set it up correctly, write your own copy, configure SEO settings, deal with the security setup, and maintain it — Squarespace is fine. Many restaurant owners start there. But most find that it takes 15–20 hours to build something that looks decent, and the result still underperforms on SEO because they don't know what to optimize. Then there's the monthly fee forever ($23–$49/month on Squarespace, sometimes more) which adds up fast. A custom site built by someone who knows local SEO is an investment that pays back — especially when it's bringing in one extra table per week. That's more than the site costs in a month.
Because I'm local, I answer my own phone, and your restaurant isn't a ticket number to me. A bigger agency is managing hundreds of clients. You'll work with a project manager who hands off to a designer who hands off to a developer who hands off to an SEO coordinator. Communication gets lost. Timelines stretch. And the person who sold you the project has moved on to the next sale. With me, you get one person who does everything, knows the Reno market, and has a real stake in your success — because my reputation here depends on it.
You'll see the design before any final payment is made. I present the site for your review, and we make revisions until you're genuinely happy with it. I don't ask for final payment until you approve the site and we're ready to launch. My reputation in Reno depends on doing good work — I'm not going to push a site live that you're unhappy with. If after multiple rounds of revisions we're genuinely misaligned, we'll have an honest conversation about what to do next. I've never had a client who wasn't satisfied, and I intend to keep it that way.
